We had an amazing time at my dad and aunt's birthday party this past weekend at my dad's house in Salisbury. I cooked several lasagnas and baked 2 apple pies to contribute to the event. I was worried we wouldn't have enough food, but there was plenty!
My cousins from Boston, Hartford, and Birmingham were able to make the party. It was so special to have them there since it's been years since we've been together. And this is the longest time we've had together for probably 25 years (when I was really little!). My cousins are older than we are (youngest is 43) so it's been neat to reconnect with them. My aunt was thrilled to have her 3 children in the same place for the first time in years as well.
Family is so important to me, so this was a truly memorable occasion for me especially. I love my dad and aunt so much. They have done so much for me throughout my whole life, and it was fun to honor them in this way.
Happy Birthday dad and Aunt Betsy! Enjoy your Caribbean cruise on your actual birthday--January 26th.

You ROCK, girl! Bigtime snaps to you, Oh Party Diva! Wish I had been there to sample your delicious food - umm, and to wish your dad "happy birthday" of course! :) Your parents are fortunate to have such a kind, thoughtful, caring daughter!
You are so sweet. Too bad 1/2 the party got stomach viruses after the party! I'll tell you about it later. Luckily, Isaac and I were spared. : )
