Run for the Roses 5k

I'm race director for the Run for Roses 5k held on Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at Halifax Community Center in downtown Raleigh. Click here for more event details: http://ncroadrunners.org/RunfortheRoses/index.html

The race benefits Urban Ministries of Wake County, a wonderful ministry that has a medical clinic, pharmacy, women's shelter, and food pantry for our community. Last year, we raised $7000 for Urban Ministries, and about the same amount for North Carolina Road Runner's Club (of which I'm a member and former board member).

If you're in the area, come on out and support the race. There are children's races and a fun co-ed pairs competition in honor of the Valentine's Day time frame.
