Harry Potter and other stuff

We saw the new Harry Potter movie last night. It was really good. Although Isaac and I spent about 30 minutes talking about all the stuff left out. I guess you do have to cut material from a 700 page book. The movie was already 2 1/2 hours and I wasn't ready for it to be over!

Isaac got me hooked on the HP books, even though I'm not so much into fantasy. I guess I was again enthralled by the human relationships between the characters. Love Harry, Hermione, and Ron. And Luna is priceless too! It was a treat to take Isaac to see the movie on the first day, even though it meant we didn't get to bed till midnight.

I had a dream last night that I couldn't breathe. What do you know I wake up this morning with a stuffy nose. No wonder I had that dream! My allergies have been doing a number on me this year. Zyrtec and advil take care of it, but I hate taking it almost every day. Oh well... Love living in NC more. : )

We're off to TN tomorrow for a long weekend. The weather is supposed to be nice as we're a little higher up in elevation. I'm hoping for a good hike or two, and some bonfires outside. Isaac's mom and Nana live on a 80 acre piece of property. His grand-dad built the 3 level cabin himself--in his 60's!! I'll be sure to post pictures when I get back.

Hey!! Thanks for your comments on my blog. I really appreciate it. I love what you said about being a friend to yourself; I really do need to be better at that. It's something I've written about before, but it's also one of those things that I talk about but have a hard time doing.

Oh, and I have read about Jeff Galloway's method, but I guess I kind of thought it was better for people who are running longer distances. I felt kind of lame having to walk part of a 3 mile run. But I might try it, as I want to try and get in a 4 mile run this next week!

We all have work to do on being a friend to ourselves. Keep reminding yourself of that and maybe it will help. I can tell you are highly motivated but it's important to give yourself grace and love too. This is all a process and it will take long. Honestly, your health and well being are the most important. That's what matters--not a # on a scale. : )

Erin--run walk is for EVERYONE! There are days when I'm tired, I don't want to run, it's too hot, etc. and I say to myself, "Well, you have the walk breaks to help you." It will help you lengthen your runs if you want to--without feeling horrible. And enjoy the run more.

Jeff Galloway is all about being as comfortable as you can running. That way you'll want to run more and stay healthy.
