OFFER!

Isaac got his official offer for the job in Youngsville. He may start as early as tomorrow! Crazy work hours--6:00 am to 2:30 pm. But, it may be good since he's decided to start classes in August for the MBA program at NC State (classes on Tues and Thurs evenings).

I can't tell you how good it feels for this to be settled after all this time. Isaac has been such a trooper and has had no less than 30 interviews in the last little bit. I don't know how I'd handle that many interviews, but he did great! The job has a couple downsides to it, but in this job market... we're grateful that he can stay with his current company. He already knows some of the people he is going to work with, and they are really nice, sweet people. Plus, he only officially has to stay in this job for 1 year. So he can move on next summer if another opportunity arises.

On my end, I applied for a project manager position at BB&T yesterday. I had to tell my boss that I was applying. And I was surprised at his response given I'm working on a HUGE project right now. But he handled it very well and was supportive. I am not sure I have much of a chance because there will be lots of good applicants out there. But it felt good to realize that I am ready to move on to another job. If something doesn't come up at BB&T soon I may start looking externally. We'll see!
